House N2 Home

Creating homes where people can thrive

DONATE FURNITURE & HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

Please be aware that if your donation will involve scheduling a pick-up, we are often booking those a month ahead.

We are always in need of furniture and household items.

We only accept items in good, usable condition, because our clients deserve it.

We appreciate your donations to House N2 Home and kindly ask that you sort through your donations before delivering them. This saves us time sorting through unwanted goods and having to re-donate them. Thank you for reviewing our donation criteria listed below. When contacting us regarding donations, PLEASE INCLUDE A PHOTO of your furniture items. Please contact us with any questions.

DIRECTIONS TO DONATE: Starting April 1st, 2024 all donations must be initiated by completing one of the two forms below. You can expect a response within 24 hours.

House N2 Home Donation PICKUP Request

House N2 Home Donation DROP-OFF Request

1. Please review the list below to learn what we do (green section)/don’t accept (in red section below).

2. Make sure your items are clean, gently used, quality items with no stains, rips, or scratches.

3. If you’d like a PICKUP (within WASHTENAW COUNTY ONLY and under 30 minutes of driving time from our facility) of items too big for your vehicle, please include your address and phone number (in case we need to reach you on the day of the pick-up.)  Monetary donations are appreciated, but not required, for pickups.

4. Items for pickup must be moved to a garage, porch, or outside before your scheduled pick up time. We do not go into homes.

5. Pickups are done by VOLUNTEERS, not professional movers; please be patient.

6. Pickups are normally scheduled on Mondays, and generally during our working hours (see below) so that volunteers are available to help with unloading at our storage facility. Because getting our clients moved in a timely manner is our primary focus, we have to work around that schedule. If you need a quick pickup, we will do our best, but this is often not possible.

7. We schedule DROP OFFs by appointment only when our storage facility is open:

THURSDAYS: 11am - 2pm
